Get Your Ride On – June is Bike Month

Biking in Vancouver
Noticing more bikes on the roads and bridges than normal? Of course, there are always more bikes and bike commuters when the weather is better, but June’s upsurge is about more than warming temperatures–It’s Bike Month!

Bike Month is all about environmentally-sound transportation (like bike commuting), promoting car-free neighbourhoods and cities, and having lots of fun.

Along with the hugely-popular Car-Free Day festivals (we’ll blog more about them later!), the nighttime Musical Lantern Ride through Stanley Park–where people decorate their bike and themselves with lights–and a Giant Critical Mass bike ride through Vancouver’s city centre, there are also films, bike parades, street festivals and more.
