Cakes & Pies at True Confections on Denman St.

You know that saying, “Save room for the dessert?” Well there’s one place in Vancouver where the cake slices are so enormous the only way to save enough room is to skip dinner entirely. Which is why, when I took my mom there last week, we went at 4pm.

Of course, I’m talking about  True Confections, a 21-year old Vancouver institution that serves cake, pie, tarts, and trifles, and is the only desserts-only restaurant in the city. True Confections has two Vancouver locations, one at Broadway and Alma and its original–and most famous–location, on Denman and Haro in the West End (near Stanley Park).
