Have a hankering to get wet and naked with as many people as possible—hopefully, more people than have ever been wet and naked together in North America before? Then this is your weekend!
On Saturday, July 11, the Wreck Beach Preservation Society—dedicated to (big surprise!) preserving Wreck Beach—is organizing the Guinness World Record for Simultaneous Skinnydipping in North America.
If you want in on the world record skinny-dipping, be at the bottom of Wreck Beach Trail #6 at 10am to be officially registered. Everyone will get in the water–you just have to be in long enough for the official documentation picture–to be photographed at 12pm.
The shot at the world record is sponsored by American Association for Nudist Recreation (AANR), which is organizing simultaneous skinny-dipping events across North America.
So if you’ve ever wanted to be part the Guinness Book of World Records, get in the water Saturday. (Look at it this way: It’ll be good cocktail-party conversation and you’ll never see any of those people again. Probably.)
And check back with us next week; we plan to have the pictures!
