Vancouver Opera’s Golden Anniversary Season 2009-2010

Marriage of Figaro performed by Vancouver Opera

A couple of years ago, the Vancouver Opera (VO) performed one of my favourite operas, the ever-popular
La Bohème, and it was amazing. Ever since, I’ve been an enormous fan of the VO, and I’m thrilled for its Golden Anniversary Season 2009-2010.

Fifty years of Vancouver Opera is impressive, and the VO will celebrate their milestone with a season packed with popular classics, including Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, and spectacular new works, like the highly-anticipated Nixon in China.

Personally, I’d love to see Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, coming in April 2010. (I can hear “Barber of Seville” in my head right now.)
