West Vancouver Spirit Square
The action at Cypress Mountain has been outstanding this week—including Alex Bilodeau’s first Canadian Gold Medal on Canadian soil and today’s Gold Medal for Mielle Ricker in Women’s Snowboard Cross—and so has the Olympic spirit at West Vancouver’s main celebration site, the West Vancouver Spirit Square.
The West Vancouver Spirit Square has loads of FREE family fun and activities throughout the Olympic Games, from February 10 – 28, 2010.
Every day, the Spirit Square features Northwest Territories and Nunavut Story Telling workshops and song-and-dance performances, nightly dance showcases, the “Hollywood-style, red carpet” North Shore Youth Film Festival, and the interactive Sports in Space Exhibit from the Canadian Space Agency.

Mural contributors include world-renowned First Nations artists like Roy Henry Vickers and April White, and iconic Canadian artist Robert Bateman.
