Paddle with your partner around False Creek.

17. Launch a double kayak from Granville Island and paddle together around False Creek. The placid waters are home to harbor seals and other wildlife, and the spectacular views of the Coast Mountains can’t be beat. Ecomarine Paddlesport Centres offers rentals and guided tours.

18. Treat your sweetheart to The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s saucy “Mr. Grey Package, which offers accommodation in the wood-panelled Lieutenant Governor’s Suite seen in the movie; a Chantilly lace eye mask; a bottle of champagne and chocolate-dipped strawberries; and a private shopping experience at Christine Lingerie complete with BMW car transfers.

Jazzy times at Prohibition.

19. Take in a jazz performance at 1920’s-inspired Prohibition, situated in the glamorous Rosewood Hotel Georgia. The sultry underground room is dimly lit, outfitted with cushy seating and framed by an impressively lit bar. The extensive drinks list offers cocktails by the mood, as well as wine and craft beer. Feeling saucy? Challenge your sweetheart to share sips from the mesmerizing Absinthe Tower.

20. Stroll to Beaver Lake in Stanley Park, the site of Fifty Shades’ Ana and Christian’s first kiss. From there, continue along the trail under the canopy of trees and explore the park’s myriad attractions, including historic landmarks, gorgeous beaches, the beautiful Rose Garden and more.

21. Walk along the seawall in Coal Harbour and follow Christian’s route as he pounded the pavement in Fifty Shades of Grey. Feeling daring? Board one of the Harbour Air seaplanes for a romantic aerial tour of Vancouver

22. Build your own charcuterie-and-cheese plate, paired with B.C. wines and global sherries, at Salt Tasting Room in Gastown’s Blood Alley. Rustic redbrick walls, an enormous wine cellar and knowledgeable staff make for a romantic evening that’s both enjoyable and informative.

Craft beer for days.

23. Craft beer lovers? Treat yourselves to a chauffeured tasting tour of neighbourhood breweries across the city with Vancouver Brewery Tours. You can opt for a walking tour centred in one neighbourhood, expand your palate with a distillery and brewery adventure, or try a craft beer tasting paired with tasty bites.

24. Work as a team to escape from a haunted house, a submarine or even a dreamscape at SmartyPantz in Gastown. Trust us: plunging into a real live puzzle and having to rely on your darling’s brainpower to get out will bring your relationship to a whole new level.

25. Explore a tropical paradise together right here in Vancouver. The Bloedel Conservatory, a lush oasis set in the middle of Queen Elizabeth Park, is home to more than 600 birds, plants and flowers separated into three different climate zones. Stop by the Healing Garden to fully engage your senses and mutually elevate your emotional, mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing.

26. Sometimes it’s okay to peacock: you and your honey can dine inside a life-sized birdcage at Glowbal at Telus Garden, which serves North American cuisine with ideas and ingredients sourced from across the continent.

27. Have brunch across from Maple Tree Square in historic Gastown, which you’ll recognize as the site where Ana falls into Grey’s arms after being knocked over by a cyclist in Fifty Shades of Grey. L’Abattoir offers a romantic Bubbles at Brunch that pairs decadent champagnes with indulgent dishes like poached eggs with smoked pork belly, buttermilk and ricotta pancakes, and the locally loved Breakfast Burger.

28. Surprise your sweetie with tickets to the upcoming Science of Cocktails, which transforms Telus World of Science into the world’s biggest cocktail lab. Here, Vancouver’s award-winning bartenders will demonstrate the chemistry, biology and physics that make up the art of cocktail making (and yes, tastings abound).

29. See and be seen at The Roof, where zebra-striped cushions and mesmerizing fire pits dominate the upper floor of the grand Black + Blue. The menu emphasizes generous cuts of prime meats, skewered fish and poultry, alongside delicious cocktails and wine.

30. Dive deep into Vancouver’s murky history on Forbidden Vancouver’s theatrical walking tour The Lost Souls of Gastown. You and your honey will adore the interactive foray, led by an actor who weaves a mesmerizing tale as the group tours Gastown and Chinatown.

You and your sweetie can follow in the footsteps of your favourite movie and TV characters with Fans of Vancouver.

31. Film buffs? Book a film/TV-centred tour with Fans of Vancouver and trace the steps of your favourite on-screen characters.

32. Fly down a snowy slope at Cypress Mountain’s snow tubing park. The winter playground features six chutes roughly 100 metres in length and a tube tow that will bring you back to the top post-slide. Zoom down with your honey and feel the thrill of letting loose and playing in the snow.
