Fireworks and family-friendly fun at Vancouver’s largest New Year’s Eve celebration

Are you ready to party like it’s almost 2018 in a family-friendly atmosphere?

Concord’s New Year’s Eve Vancouver 2018 is one of Canada’s largest all-ages celebrations on one of the biggest nights of the year. Indoor and outdoor programming, country music, a street party, a kids’ zone and of course fireworks make it the premier event destination for ringing in the New Year in YVR.

The spectacle takes place 7 p.m.-1:30 a.m. at Vancouver Convention Centre West (1055 Canada Pl) and Canada Place (999 Canada Pl). There are a few options for enjoying the fun, including VIP and family passes. Here’s the rundown, along with some of what to expect.

Celebration Pass ($48 early bird/$58 general admission)—The Celebration Pass includes access to two indoor dance rooms and fully licensed bars. One room features the YVR World Stage, the other is given over to the JRFM Party Stage. The YVR World Stage features DJ Flip-Out and the Decibel Collective. The JRfm Party Stage features Vancouver urban country DJ jaXon Hawks, along with live sets from Shaw Austin, Shylo Sharity and more.

Family Zone Pass ($28, children under five admitted free)—Families! This pass includes the RE/MAX Family Zone in Vancouver Convention Centre West. Rockin’ Robin and Alyssa Nielsen from As You Wish Princess Parties host a special Kids Can Dance show. The area also includes free craft areas, face painting, a special balloon drop and 9 p.m. firework display.

Ultimate VIP Experience ($129 early bird/$149 regular)—Turbocharge your Celebration Pass with access to the high-end indoor VIP area. Floor-to-ceiling waterfront windows allow unparalleled views of fireworks displays. An exclusive lounge overlooks the main dance floor. Plus, pass-holders receive a complimentary glass of premium champagne to toast the New Year, a catered buffet of savoury canapés, separate VIP bar with premium brands, VIP hosts, and free coat check.

Free Street Festival—Canada Place (street only) will host 102.7 The PEAK Main Stage, Global TV’s live countdown broadcast and a street party with Vancouver food trucks. The PEAK Main Stage features local acts Good for Grapes, Peach Pit, The Tourist Company and more. Roving performers, neon robots, firedancers and visuals add to the family-friendly atmosphere. A fireworks display, visible from along the seawall and synchronized to a soundtrack broadcast live on local station 102.7 The PEAK, caps off the night.

Tickets are available at Tickets Tonight and online at ConcordsNYEVan.com.
