On Saturday, July 7, 2018, Kitsilano’s popular West 4th Avenue shuts down to host Khatsahlano, a massive street party that spans 10 city blocks! It’s Vancouver’s largest free Music & Arts Festival and it’s one excellent party.
Created just 7 years ago, the Khatsahlano Street Party features multiple stages showcasing more than 50 of Vancouver’s top music performers as well as the eclectic work of local artisans and street performers.
The street fair spans from Burrard to Macdonald Street with a huge variety of food options, bustling patios, giveaways, special activities, family-friendly activities, arts & crafts, and licensed beer gardens.

This year’s celebration features tons of local talent, including Bif Naked, Frazey Ford, Slow, Leeroy Staggor, Actors, and more. If you don’t recognize any of those names, don’t worry… Half the fun of experiencing Khatsahlano is finding a new, cool band to fall in love with. A full list is available here.
The party kicks off on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 11:00 am and will run all the way until 9:00 pm. If you’re planning on driving around the area, be forewarned – traffic will be a nightmare. It will be easier to walk, bike, or transit to Kitsilano for the Khatsahlano Festival.
Don’t forget to arrive with an empty stomach. West 4th is well known for their award-winning restaurants – there’s over 50 great places to eat & drink on. Kick back on a patio, or grab take-away and make your own picnic. Or take a wander down to Food Truck Way, between Balsam and Larch, showcasing some of Vancouver’s finest street food vendors.

Location: West 4th Avenue in Kitsilano, between Burrard Street and Macdonald Street. Main Festival Entrance points are Burrard, Arbutus, and Macdonald, and side street entrances are at Cypress, Maple, Yew, Vine, Balsam, Stephens and Trafalgar.
