5 Amazing Summer Yoga Experiences You Can Only Get in Vancouver

When visiting Vancouver, it would be a shame not to take advantage of how much this city loves yoga. A variety of yoga styles are offered at our world-class studios around the city, and summer provides the opportunity for some unique venues and experiences for both a first-time and experienced yogi. So whether you want to brighten your day up, or wind your day down, check out what we’ve got for you this summer!

Outdoor Yoga

All summer long, Mat Collective offers Hatha, Flow, Power, and Yin classes at several outdoor locations around the city. Locations include Riley Park and the incredibly beautiful Kits Beach. Classes are free (yes!) and are rain or shine. As rain is a slight possibility in Vancouver (even in the summer!), should it be unsafe to practice outside, the teacher will guide an alternate activity. For more information, visit the Mat Collective website. There are also other outdoor yoga events that pop up from local retail giant, lululemon, and other studios, so there’s always away to get on the mat outside! Always keep your eyes peeled here at insidevancouver.ca!

Sunrise / Sunset Yoga at Granville Island

To be more accurate for the summer, this would be more morning light and golden hour yoga – but if there’s anywhere to start or end a day of exploring on Granville Island, Semperviva Yoga’s Sea Studio location is it. With the calming water sounds and the incredible city and False Creek views, you will come out of your yoga class ready for the day or a good night’s sleep! Click here for the Sea Studio class schedule and for more information.
