Cozy season is upon us in Vancouver! Which means the leaves are turning and everyone has a pumpkin spice latte in their hand. Whether you want to be inside or outside in October, here are some #VeryVancouver activities to keep you feeling cozy and warm!

Granville Island Turkey Trot (Oct 8)

The 10 kilometre Turkey Trot is not your average run, but an experience. With great food, a family-friendly course and wonderful volunteers, the Turkey Trot is a run about community, indulgence, and spending the day with family. After your trot around the sea wall, your post-race food isn’t just bananas, water and oranges; instead there is gourmet food! Post-race festivities include a rockin’ band at the end.

UBC Apple Festival 2018 (Oct 13-14)

A family event for all ages, the UBC Apple Festival celebrates one of BC’s favourite fruits. From learning about the diversity of apples to tasting rare and unusual varieties, the Apple Festival is a great opportunity to discover more about this delicious fruit. Haywire Dinner (Oct 17)

Experience the best of the Okanagan fall harvest right here in Vancouver with an exclusive locally inspired 5-course dinner paired with wines directly from Haywire Winery including their Narrative and Freeform wines. Rubber Ducky Half (Oct 21)

This beautiful 21.1K & 7 Mile course circles Burnaby Lake (a short Skytrain ride or drive away from Downtown Vancouver), giving you the opportunity to enjoy fresh air, exercise and more chances to view birds and animals in this wilderness environment. Join other walkers & runners on this scenic course throughout the trails of Burnaby Lake. Siyaflo – Love Your Skin (Oct 21)

Siyaflo Health Series hosts its 4th event – Love Your Skin – in Vancouver on Sunday October 21st. The networking event will feature sessions of mini sessions Kundalini yoga and meditation, nutrition, street dance, essential oils, and others to help you feel good in your skin.  Attendees will receive 2 free dance classes at iDance Vancouver and other goodies. In Goop Health (Oct 27)

For the first time, Vancouver will play host to In Goop Health, a wellness conference hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop lifestyle brand. Hallow’s Eve Trail Race (Oct 27)

Not that anyone needs an excuse to dress up in a costume, but The Hallow’s Eve Trail marathon, half marathon, and 10 km trail races are truly fun and scary events! From the start at the base of Lynn Creek, you’ll be challenged with some of the most gruesome trails that Vancouver’s North Shore has to offer. Vancouver Health Show (Oct 27-28)

Vancouver Baby & Family Fair (Oct 27-28)

If you’re going to the Health Show and are perhaps expecting or have young ones, head across the street to the Vancouver Baby & Family Fair. This annual event nudges newborns, teaches toddlers and preps parents! The event will provide today’s intelligent consumers with the platform to investigate and inform themselves on today’s healthy choices for their family. Goat Yoga (Saturdays & Sundays)

Not kid-ding around, goat yoga is going strong until the end of October! Held at Maplewood Farm in North Vancouver (a short drive or quick trip via Seabus and bus from Vancouver), this will be an experience you’ll definitely want to Instagram about! Get ready to have a unique yoga class where social goats will join you for downward dog… errr goat. This will be a VIP experience as the sessions are held on Saturdays and Sundays before the farm opens to the public. Tickets are $30 and partial proceeds go to Maplewood Farm.
