Princess Bride, Star Wars & Marvel Universe stars coming to Fan Expo Vancouver

Katie Cassidy, who plays DC Comics superhero Black Canary on the CW TV series Arrow, is one of the many celebrity guests coming to this year’s Fan Expo Vancouver.

The annual celebration of all things nerdy comes to the Vancouver Convention Centre March 1-3. Along with celebrity guests, the expo features panels, exhibitors, and more. See below for some highlights from this year’s event.

Cassidy is one of several cast members of CW shows such as Supernatural, The Flash, and Supergirl coming to the Expo. And if they’re not enough, the three-day event features a number of other stars of the small and big screen, including cast members from Star Wars, The Princess Bride and… Baywatch!?

Marisol Nichols—Nichols plays Hermione Lodge on Riverdale, the hit series that riffs on Archie comics. Nathalie Boltt, who plays Penelope Blossom on the show, will also appear.

Pom Klementieff—As the strangely compelling Mantis, Klementieff has been featured in the Marvel Comics movies Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, as well as Avengers: Infinity War. This makes her comic-book movie royalty for sure.

Pamela Anderson—BC-born, former Vancouver resident Anderson returns to her homeland. Discovered on a Jumbotron at a B.C. Lions game of all things, Anderson has gone on to become a model, actress and animal rights activist. She is known for the ’90s comic-book movie Barb Wire and the TV series Baywatch, among other things.

George Takei—The Japanese-American actor has gone on to have a second live in popular culture following his iconic role as Sulu in the original Star Trek TV series. Today, Takei is known for his activism and as one of the top influencers on social media.

Wallace Shawn—The New York-based playwright’s acting career took off thanks to his role as Vizzini in The Princes Bride. He can currently be seen in The Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon.
