CONTEST ALERT! Win Two Tickets to Elements Film Festival at TELUS World of Science

Are you curious about environmental issues? Passionate about wildlife conservation? Perhaps you’re simply a sucker for films starring majestic animals. If any of these tickles your fancy, you’ll want to block off your calendar to attend the second annual Elements Film Festival, taking place at TELUS World of Science between April 8 and 14 – and one lucky reader will win a pair of festival passes!

Produced in partnership with TELUS World of Science, Elements Film Festival incorporates programming suitable for all ages centred around weighty topics impacting our planet. The multifaceted event features productions created by local and international filmmakers – as well as presentations and panel discussions – that provide viewers with different points of view on critical environmental topics like wildlife conservation, climate change, poaching, habitat loss, invasive species, environmental law, and plastic pollution in our oceans. The theme of this year’s festival, #STAYCURIOUS, is intended to inspire curiosity and conversation by fostering an appreciation of environmental and science-based issues.

On Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14, the festival’s daytime programming will include family-friendly short films tackling wildlife and conservation topics; feature films will be projected in the OMNIMAX Theatre. Guests can also take part in topical panel discussions that cover topics like the future of West Coast orcas and developments in energy technologies. The evening schedules feature film screenings and special presentations, including a screening of Living in the Future’s Past, a visually stunning film that reflects on the true cost of fossil fuel energy, and is co-produced by actor Jeff Bridges and filmmaker Susan Kucera.
