The first real sign that summer is just around the corner comes with the opening of the much-loved Playland Amusement Park. Since first opening in 1910, Playland has hosted millions of thrill-seekers of all ages every year.
Once known as “Happy Land” (which name do you prefer?), Playland is open throughout the spring, summer, and into the fall. For 2019, Playland will be officially opening for the season on Saturday, May 4, 2019.
Admission to Playland gives you unlimited access to over 35 rides and attractions, as well as a mini-golf course, which was previously an extra cost on top of your ticket.
One of the highlights of the park is the Wooden Roller Coaster, Playland’s most historic and spectacular attraction. Most recently, the Coaster was named top wooden coaster in Canada, and 12th in the world. Read more (pdf).
Playland will be open weekends from May 4 until June 9 and open daily from June 14 through August 16. Here’s hoping that they bring back their Playland Nights adult evenings as well!
If you’re holding out for the Fair at the PNE, that won’t be opening until August.
