There’s no other way of saying it, the Richmond Night Market is epic.
First founded in 2000 by entrepreneur Raymond Cheung, the Richmond Night Market has grown from modest beginnings since its first location at the Continental Centre on Cambie Road.
Now, the Richmond Night Market is the largest Night Market in North America and has become an international attraction, attracting over 1 million visitors each year.
The opening date of this hotly anticipated annual event is fast approaching and we can’t help but get excited for an upcoming summer of food, shopping, and entertainment! 1. The food
The Richmond Night Market boasts over 500 International food items, so you’ll never be trying the same thing twice. It is strongly advised to visit the Richmond Night Market on an empty stomach because you’re going to want to eat!
From bubble tea to deep-fried octopus balls (takoyaki) and from tornado potatoes to meat skewers, there really is something for everyone.
2. Easy access from transit
Located near to Bridgeport Station on the Canada Line, the Richmond Night Market is incredibly easy to get to by transit. There is free parking located at the site (8351 River Road), but it gets pretty busy very quickly. It’s always easier to ride the Canada Line and walk over to the market from the station. Or, try biking! Richmond happens to be very nice and flat (compared to the rest of Vancouver).
3. The extensive selection of socks
