An outdoor yoga class is the perfect way to start or end your day, spend some time with friends, or check out a new area of the city. No one wants to spend a sunny day inside!

Encouraging fresh air and community, Mat Collective’s yoga classes are back by popular demand. The classes invite local and visiting yogis and yoginis to experience and absorb the scenic beauty of Vancouver in two of its beautiful green spaces. All levels are welcome and the only thing you need to bring is your mat.

Founded by existing members of Vancouver’s already vibrant yoga community, Mat Collective started out as a yoga mat recycling program, accepting unwanted yoga mats from across Greater Vancouver. Their goal was, and still is, to turn yoga mats headed to the landfill into a resource for individuals and businesses looking to create a happier, healthier, city. With the roots of this idea in place, the natural progression was to start an accessible yoga program.

Classes start on June 1 and will run through August 30. Classes run throughout the day, and all sessions are drop-in. No pre-registration is required. And the carrot (though you likely didn’t need it!)… classes are free!
