If you want to get scared this Halloween, Vancouver has plenty of haunted houses, mazes, films, and tours to terrify you. But enter only if you dare: these experiences will have your pulse racing and your hair standing on end. Most are not appropriate for kids under 13.

 

Fright Nights at the PNE

Billed as Vancouver’s scariest Halloween experience, Fright Nights returns to the PNE on select nights between October 4 and 31 with nine haunted houses full of costumed performers to terrify you. You can also enjoy over 20 fun and frightening rides.

The Lost Souls of Gastown Tour from Forbidden Vancouver Walking Tours

Follow your guide from Forbidden Vancouver Walking Tours through Vancouver’s oldest neighbourhood to discover the spooky and gruesome history of Gastown. The tour finale will shock you! Tours run several times a night throughout October.

Dead Fellows Haunted Brewhouse at Strange Fellows Brewing

Strange Fellows Brewing has transformed its brewery into a haunted house with a backstory that ties together the neighbourhood’s brewing history and lots of jump scares. The haunted brewhouse runs October 18 to 20 and 25 to 27.

Vancouver Horror Show Film Festival

Do you like scary movies? The 2024 edition of the Vancouver Horror Show Film Festival includes 9 feature films, 47 shorts, 4 panel discussions, parties, awards, and more. The event runs at Cineplex Metropolis at Metrotown from October 18 to 20 and at Cineplex International Village from October 25 to 27.

Halloween Mystery Nights with Vancouver Mysteries

Join Vancouver Mysteries for a Halloween game series every night from October 18 to 31. Akin to an escape room, but played outdoors on the streets of Vancouver, these games come with instructions so you can collect clues and solve mysteries while exploring the city. There are three spooky games to choose from.

Cougar Creek’s House of Horrors

Considered the scariest haunted house in BC, Cougar Creek’s House of Horrors includes five themed haunted houses linked together. Inside, you’ll find costumed actors, animatronics and plenty of terror. The Surrey attraction is open most nights between October 4 and November 2.

Dreadworks Haunted House

This Halloween the Cloverdale Fairgrounds have been transformed into Dreadworks Haunted House. The immersive experience follows a terrifying storyline created by award-winning filmmakers. The event runs from September 27 to November 3.

Scariest Corn Maze in Canada

Navigate the twisting rows of corn to make your way through the Scariest Corn Maze in Canada at Maan Farms in Abbotsford. This Halloween adventure includes a haunted corn maze plus two other interactive haunted houses designed to test your fears and phobias. The attractions are open Thursday through Sunday from September 27 to November 3.

Reaper’s Maze of Terror

Head to Chilliwack to experience Reaper’s Maze of Terror. Navigate through the winding corn maze while sinister creatures lurk in the shadows. The maze is open Wednesday through Sunday from September 29 to November 2.
