Kiernan Shipka stars in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

In this week’s roundup of what’s going on in Vancouver’s screen scene, we’ve got a new TV series starting up while two other series call it a wrap. And a horror movie is on the horizon.

So it seems it’s hockey night in Vancouver—a TV version of a ’90s sports comedy-drama franchise gets underway today.

Two TV series complete shooting all episodes for their second seasons.

But one is an ensemble drama about a circle of friends continuing on after the loss of one of them while the other is a supernatural horror about a teenager learning to develop her bewitching abilities.

Speaking of horror, something unnerving is about to creep this way in a few months and we’ve got a few details about that.

So to find out more about all of these things, see you after the jump.

As one show finishes up, another one starts.

That’s usually the norm in Vancouver’s screen scene and such is the case this week.

In fact, one horror TV series is calling it a wrap while another horror series gets started.

But where they differ is that one is set in a historical event while the other is set in a world of witchcraft and teen drama.

Speaking of adolescents, there’s forthcoming series that will shoot its inaugural season here for which there’s very little detail, with the exception of a casting call that is drawing praise from people with disabilities.

Interesting finding out more? See you after the jump.

Filming in Vancouver: Jessica Biel in Limetown, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and Deadly Class

Jessica Biel will take on the lead role in Limetown.

As we’ve been noting over the past few weeks, a number of productions have been winding up just before the holiday season.

This week continues that trend, with two TV series—both based on comic books—finishing up their first season.

However, there is one new TV series that goes against this grain is launching into production.

And this mystery thriller TV series starting up is not only based on a podcast that topped the charts, but it’s also bringing some high-wattage star power with it.

Curious and curiouser—mystery, indeed.

To resolve this mysteriousness, we’ll see you on the other side of the jump for this week’s roundup of what’s coming and going from Vancouver’s screen scene.

The Riverdale cast will be calling it a wrap on Season 2 this week.

This week, there’s lots happening on the TV side of things.

A popular teen drama series wraps up but its related witchcraft series starts up. Meanwhile, a reboot of a witch-based series is shooting a pilot. And another pilot follows two pizza place workers who become enlisted to hunt down alien criminals (hey, it’s a more interesting gig than food delivery).

There’s also a new series in which British and American female codebreakers team up. And a relocated comedy series, about a big city lawyer taking on small town cases, lands in town.

Let’s check out what’s going in Vancouver’s screen scene this week.
