Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson and Vancouver International Film Festival executive director Jacqueline Dupuis helped open the 36th edition of VIFF.

As with previous years, the Vancouver International Film Festival has brought a bevy of filmmakers and stars to the city, to converge upon a cinematic smorgasbord.

The whole shebang kicked off back on September 28 with a spotlight on truly homegrown project.

VIFF’s Sea to Sky stream presents the best of BC

The 2017 Vancouver International Film Festival starts in just two days. That means hundreds of films from all over the world are coming to Vancouver theatres Sept 28-Oct 13. And there’s a special spotlight on B.C.-made work, too.

Ryan Reynolds is returning to slice and dice up Vancouver for Deadpool 2.

While all eyes may have been turned to Hollywood last night—with that little known ceremony otherwise know as the Academy Awards—there are some notes of interest of what’s shooting in Hollywood North’s screen scene.

Among them are confirmed dates for when the Merc With the Mouth and Count Olaf return to our West Coast metropolis. There are also revealed casts for two TV series, and a Canadian production kicks off today.
